A community pharmacy in Northumberland has been bought by Reyhane Kiani, the managing director at Kiani Healthcare Ltd and primary care network lead for Northumberland Primary Care.
Christie & Co, who brokered the deal, said Wylam Pharmacy dispenses an average of 11,300 NHS items a month and had been acquired by Kiani Healthcare who own another pharmacy in Northumberland.
The pharmacy had been owned by Andrew Nicholson since 2002 but he decided to retire and sold it to Kiani Healthcare for an undisclosed price.
Christie & Co’s director-pharmacy Karl Clezy said: “We sold this pharmacy along with the freehold property including a flat above to a successful independent contractor
in the same area.
“This is the second pharmacy we have sold to this buyer, and I am confident they will develop this pharmacy and enhance patient care just like they did with their
first branch.”
